A sensitive topic to write on.I read somewhere a lady bragging that she had dated two millionaires and at 35 years old she was a single mother. I applaud single mothers out there , infact my mum was technically a single Mum cause my Dad never contributed towards our education. I will give him props cause he bought the three bedroom maisonette house that we were raised in, in Nairobi.
I always wondered what my Mum saw in that man,I bravely asked her and she laughed her heart out.She told me to never follow in her footsteps.Well I kept it to heart and talked to God.I told God,I wanted to marry and to a good man.I asked God that I wanted to give my children a gift and that will be their father.
I have seen friends suffer in the hands of men especially once they give birth,I see ladies do everything to try work it out for fear of being a single mother.Its is frowned upon yet some even end up get diseases and worse off they pass on due to physical abuse,others are really suffering emotionally.
Truth be said this men leave this women,and remarry and live happily there after as the lady is left raising the children alone, being scorned by the society that she can’t keep a man.Men and women are not the same,men are more equal than women when it comes to reproductive health.
I always advice younger ladies to enjoy their youth,to have fun,to party,to study to the highest level possible,to get a well paying job etc because that,that right there is what makes men and women equal,even in sexual desires. Ladies we love lustful sex,one night stands,sleeping with tall guys,short,dark etc we love variety,yes we watch porn,yes we fantasize on three somes ,we cheat on our boyfriends and husbands why lie etc but never never ever forget to use protection and an effective family planning never ever ever get pregnant,because when it comes to reproductive health we are not equal!!!!
We get pregnant and carry the child, pregnancy can’t be hidden. A single mother is born and chances of her ever marrying are reduced .We are gossiped,chased from choirs and stopped from leading praise and worship in our beloved churches.Mean while Men lives continue as usual.Infact they land a more beautiful younger career oriented girl as you struggle.He even grants her a large ceremonious church wedding,as you struggle with his children.Yes you can go to the courts and request for child support but the main lady will have the house,the money,attention and the title Mrs.The Mrs children will have a twenty four hours father with them.All im saying women we need to take charge of our reproductive health as men are more equal in reproductive health.
Besides that you can easily contract diseases such as HIV as compared to men.Ladies are judged harshly,most likely to drop out of school and the list goes on.You see ladies we do the dirt,and we don’t tell, yes we don’t kiss and tell ,let them keep on thinking that you are a virgin.We are judged by our looks,what we wear,who we dating etc and thats why we play the game down to the low,so when I saw that lady write such things about millionaires I was taken a back
